Tri-County CERT did an outreach program at Children's Hospital

Tri-County CERT participated in an outreach program at Children's Hospital on April 13, 2016.  We were there from 11AM to 7PM.  We talked to people about CERT and the CERT Basic Course.

They were told the CERT Basic Course helps them learn how to take care of themselves, their families and their neighbors.  After they take the training if they want to they can join CERT and get more training on how they can help their community.

There were brochures for them to take that told them how to prepare for an emergency.  They tell them how they need to have flashlights, batteries, battery operated radio's, have enough canned food for everyone in their family for at least 3 days, have enough water for everyone in their family for at least 3 days and if they have pets have food and water for them.

We also had beads, coloring sheets, pencils and crayons for the children.

We want to thank Children's Hospital for inviting us to this event.
