Sarpy County Neb. – Local emergency responders tested their skills Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Papillion – La Vista South High School.  The exercise scenario was an active shooter on school campus.  As emergency crews were showcasing their skills, so was the Tri-County CERT Team.  Emergency managers throughout the region assisted in training the CERT members in the Rapid Tag and Mobile Express systems.  The systems are used to provide accountability of responders and resource tracking during any type of community emergency.  Team members tracked the participation of all responders and players during the exercise.  CERT team members also supported traffic and parking control for the operation.  Dozens of CERT members volunteered for over 14 hours to support the exercise.

Thank you CERT members for providing much needed services.  In addition, we would also like to thank Cass, Jefferson, Nemaha, Otoe, Richardson and Winnebago Emergency Management Agencies for their support.
